Instant fame as they may say, Rita Gaviola a.k.a. "Badjao Girl" was discovered in social media due to her enchanting beauty living a very hard life.

This dress she wore was bought from Divisoria.

On the trending photos, the recently 14-year old celebrant gorgeous girl was seen begging for alms while carrying her sibling on the street. She was just 13 years old then.

Those pictures changed her whole life. It was then her way to be featured in numerous TV shows. Her recent appearance was in the teen version of "Pinoy Big Brother" where she was invited to be one of the housemates.

After the eviction in PBB, she again transformed into a much better version of herself.

She looks more attractive and pleasing. Her features became sharper. Like as if she's a professional model.

Badjao Girl got a scholarship and right now, that's what she's taking advantage of. She's studying and getting closer to the dream of becoming a school teahcer.

She then explained the reason of her dreams.

"Gusto ko pong matulungan 'yung mga bata. Isa na rin po doon 'yung mga magulang ko, hindi po nakapag-aral.”

Rita's father is a fisherman while their mother is a housewife. She is the second among six siblings.

"Ang pangarap ko talaga kay Rita, itaguyod ko 'yan, kahit sa isang beses isang araw kami kumain. Kahit walang baon, papasok ka na lang, basta ang pangarap ko sa 'yo, patapusin kita," Rita’s father said.

Gabiola also thanked Topher Quinto Burgos – the man who took her pictures during the recent Pahiyas Festival in Lucban, Quezon – for uploading the pictures that went viral on social media. Without Burgos, Gabiola would not have received the various opportunities she is getting today.

"Nakita lang namin siya nanghihingi ng barya. Kapatid nating mga Badjao na may angkin ganda)," Burgos posted.

Now that she's becoming popular, she is now experiencing a lot of photo requests from different people when being bumped to them.

Aside from getting a scholarship from "Rated K" and Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, Lucena City’s local government has also promised to provide jobs for the Badjao girl’s family.

Well, do you think it's practical and wise leaving the limelight and focus on her studies? Did she make the right decision?
