Myrtle Sarrosa Now Graduated 'Cum Laude' at UP after feeling of Being Lost For Sometime!

Everyone knows it's very hard to achieve an educational honor especially when you are doing more than just studying. However, Myrtle Sarrosa made it possible.

The television host and performer student, Myrtle Sarrosa graduated "cum laude" from University of the Philippines Diliman, where she took up Broadcast Communication, last Sunday.

Donning the trademark "sablay", worn by U.P. graduates, Myrtle shared her graduation picture last June 25, along with a motivating caption of how she attempted to discover her way and eventually overcoming the odds.

"To be honest, I never thought I'd see this day coming,"

"But despite the overwhelming odds against me, someway and somehow I made it with the help of God, my family, friends, professors, classmates and workmates," Sarrosa mentioned on her post.



Myrtle, rose to fame thru participating and winning awards in in various Philippine Cosplay Convention at an early age of 14.


She had her big break in show business whe she entered the reality tv show Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 4. Dubbed as the Cosplay Cutie of Iloilo, became the eventual winner of the season with a massive 33.92% of votes by the viewers.


But for Myrtle, fame was not all that mattered, as she shared the difficulties of earning money, yet losing to find her true self in the process.

"After winning Pinoy PBB, I honestly had no plan to go back to school. When you're earning money, you somehow lose the desire to study. I enjoyed the popularity and the fame I had for a time but eventually I was lost… I didn't know who I was anymore" she said.



She said she was hesitant to go to school once more, yet after some persuading from her folks, was happy to end up studying a course she genuinely needed to seek after.

Sarrosa was an accounting student of the University of the Philippines Visayas but later on decided to move to the university's Diliman campus to take-up BA Broadcast Communication instead.

"It is in the College of Mass Comm that I eventually found myself again. Meeting new friends made me realize that I didn't need to please everyone around me and sometimes you just have to say "Chos!" when you don't know what to say to your detractors anymore," she added.

As she proceeds onward to the following part of her life, Myrtle additionally shared a couple of useful tidbits for everybody.

"You are the lead actor, director, writer, stylist and producer of your own life's movie. Take a hold of every scene because it's you who calls the shots before the take and action," she said.
