A tourist woman in China has reportedly collapsed upon accidentally breaking a jade bracelet accessory amounting 300,000 Yuan ($44,053) or approximately 2.2 Million in Philippine Peso.
The lady was going to a jade market in Ruili City, south western China's Yunnan area on June 27 when she inadvertently dropped an arm jewelery while attempting it on.
As indicated by reports, the arm ornament slipped out of her hand and it split in two in the wake of hitting the floor.
The shop's proprietor disclosed to her that the arm ornament was worth 300,000 yuan ($44,053) following the incident.
She was supposedly so stunned that she go out and must be put on the ground by her relatives in order for her to recuperate.
As per witnesses claim, the family offered the dealer 70,000 yuan ($10,365) 523,691 in Pesos, as compensation although the shop owner had rejected saying that was insufficient for them to make back the initial investment.
The arm ornament was esteemed by an autonomous appraiser to cost around 180,000 yuan ($26,551/1,341,489 Php). In the end, the family consented to pay the proprietor of the mentioned total cost.
Jade is an extravagance item in China and supposedly represents great well being and a long life.
